Details
Send out clean claims on a monthly and as needed basis in a timely manner
Accurately read and post incoming payments from payers
Monitor unpaid claims - making phone calls and written appeals as necessary
Track common claims errors and create solutions
Create and maintain relationships with nursing facility billing departments and MCO claims representatives
Audit patient files as needed for accuracy in billing
Work with Accounts Payable department to send pass through payments to nursing facilities
Problem solving
Qualifications
2-5 years Medicaid billing experience
Familiarity with EMR/Medical Billing software
Competency using computers (i.e. web portals, downloading, uploading, scanning, etc.)
Experience with MS Word and Excel
High attention to detail
Problem Solving
Accounting mindset
Ability to adapt to a changing environment
Previous experience in home health care or hospice preferred
