PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance;

• Be present, organized, and enthusiastically committed to the success of all students;

• Identifies selects or develops short and long-range goals and objectives for the media program based on student, faculty, and curriculum need;

• Manage the school library, including selecting, acquiring, cataloging, and organizing books, periodicals, multimedia resources, and digital materials;

• Trains faculty in the use of media resources, equipment, and technology;

• Develops, schedules, and organizes resources to allow easy access to information and services;

• Develops and implement policies and procedures necessary for the efficient and effective operation of the media center;

• Establishes a system of records that will provide an appropriate database for evaluating the use and distribution of the media collection and supporting materials and equipment;

• Collaborates with teachers to integrate library resources and information literacy skills into classroom instruction and curriculum development;

• Promotes reading and literacy initiatives through engaging programs, activities, and events;

• Coordinates the selection and acquisition process for media resources and equipment;

• Facilitates the use, maintenance, repairs, and inventory of all media center materials and equipment;

• Teaches library skills in collaboration with teachers to support classroom instruction;

• Instructs staff and students in the use of resources, services, and equipment;

• Participates in overall school curriculum planning and development;

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Principal

SALARY RANGE: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package, in accordance with the DCSS Compensation Guide
