Job Summary:

Cirrus Aircraft is looking for a motivated professional to work in a dynamic production environment, creating cutting-edge digital media for use in sales, promotion and technical-education applications. The applicant should expect to work creatively on content areas focused in marketing and technical subjects for the aerospace industry. The position will require the employee to be flexible, be willing to learn new software and hardware and exhibit a skill-set sufficient to support a full video production workflow. This skill set may include scripting, camera operation, lighting, grip work, video editing, image editing, motion graphics and 3D animation, interactive WYSIWYG development and other media production responsibilities.

As a requirement of this position, the applicant must be willing to travel, work occasional overtime hours including weekends and holidays as necessary to meet deadlines, and comfortable working in and around various small aircraft during flight operations. The position will be based at the Cirrus Aircraft Vision Center in Knoxville, TN.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated, with a positive and professional approach to media production and a willingness to be flexible in a variety of production workflows

  • Strong knowledge of modern computer, software and production technologies

  • A strong understanding of the current online landscape, specifically surrounding modern distribution technologies and evolving social media paradigms

  • Exemplary video editing skills for narrative and training content, executed while working alone, and/or in collaboration with the Director and production team

  • Basic sound editing, sweetening and final mixing skills

  • Basic video color correction and grading skills

  • Strong graphic design, motion graphics and animation skills

  • Experience with video encoding and digital authoring to multiple codecs, formats and channels, optimized for web and broadcast dissemination

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Preferred 2-4 year college degree

  • Experience in a video/film production position

  • Fluent with the following software applications:

  • Mac OS (Required)

  • Apple iOS

  • Apple Final Cut X (Required or willing to learn)

  • Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator (Required)

  • Adobe After Effects (Required)

Bonus Skills:

  • Cinema 4D or equivalent 3D animation/FX application

  • Apple Motion

  • Apple Compressor

  • Development experience (html, javascript, java, cocoa, cocoa touch (iOS), Swift, Objective-C, ruby on rails, etc)

  • Experience with iBooks Author, Adobe Edge and/or Tumult Hype

  • 3D modeling and design experience with applications such as: Cinema 4D, 3DS Max, Blender etc)

  • Development experience for Mobile platforms, specifically for iOS and Android platforms.

This position will: Establish and maintain a deep knowledge all relevant digital publishing and tracking systems, including but not limited to: Adobe Experience Manager, YouTube, Asana, internal video publishing systems and libraries, internal photo asset management and publishing, social publishing platforms, etc. Communicate about digital content systems both with tech-focused Product teams as well as content-focused Editorial and Video teams. Create, maintain and distribute training documentation and resources for various digital content publishing systems. Apply metadata and publish consistent streams of incoming content, such as site video; may also be responsible for tracking and reporting the publishing of incoming content streams for various teams.
