NET, Nebraska's PBS and NPR Stations is looking for a highly skilled professional to join our Media Services team. Individual will answer incoming calls to the NET Help Desk and provide technical solutions or other information as appropriate regarding radio, TV, online, and reception.

Responsible for placing break material in NET television broadcast logs.

Coordinates break materials and strategies. Coordinates, produces, and makes changes to NET broadcast program schedules; produces broadcast logs, places interstitial spots, schedules program records and coordinates underwriting contracts.

Examples of Work

Answer incoming calls to the NET Help Desk and provide technical solutions or other information as appropriate regarding radio, TV, online, and reception.

Responsible for placing break material in NET television broadcast logs.

Coordinates and works with NET Communications department and national distributors regarding break materials and strategies. Coordinates and produces broadcast program schedules on a monthly basis and changes when necessary. Communicates and works with the NET Program Manager and contractual service provider for program services to insure accuracy in the schedules.

Acquires program offer information for national and local productions, enters metadata, rights and acquires media needed to distribute the content. Maintains the media library database, insuring that NET broadcast production masters are secured in the archive/vault. Schedules program recordings or file transfers as require to acquire media needed for distribution.

Responsible for producing television broadcast logs and NET Radio logs.

Coordinates program acquisition with NET staff and formats for pledge drives. Insures correct pledge program versions are acquired and ready for broadcast.

Communicates any deviations or discrepancies in Pledge schedules. Coordinates television and radio underwriting contracts insuring flights are properly placed to execute contracts. Places interstitial spots and IDs into breaks to meet the overall Promotion Priorities and to meet FCC requirements to identify the call letters of the station transmitting. Serve as backup for other Media Services positions.

Qualifications / Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: One year of experience in office management, secretarial/office support, customer service, or administration, including use of computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.

PREFERRED: Associate's degree in Business, Marketing or related field and two years relevant experience. Experience in either Television or Radio Traffic Operations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to communicate effectively meet deadlines and enter data accurately. Preferred: Knowledge of practices/processes necessary to produce Television/Radio broadcast schedules, logs, coordination of underwriting contracts and media.

Practical knowledge of scheduling systems and databases in order to manage and coordinate information. Knowledge of promotion production and coordination. Knowledge of FCC regulations pertaining to broadcast operations.

The position works collaboratively with the Sterile Processing Department and service line physicians. Key Responsibilities: 1. Works with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator to evaluate surgeon requests for new instruments. 2. Coordinates with the OR RN Clinical Coordinator, Sterile Processing manager, vendors and surgeon offices for specific surgical case needs. 3. Works with materials management & sterile processing staff and OR RN Clinical Coordinator to inventory specialty items, check outdates on products, and talk to product representatives about costs and requested products. Periodically reviews specialty case cart supplies, custom packs, etc., to determine cost effectiveness. 4. Works with OR RN Clinical Coordinator and Billing & Documentation specialist on preference cards and preference card changes. 5. Acts as a preceptor for all new staff members. 6. Provides input in the hiring process. 7. Is a resource for the OR RN Clinical Coordinator regarding changes and management of equipment, personal preference cards or staffing issues. 8. Identifies educational needs for the team and surgeons and facilitates, in conjunction with the Clinical Educator, in-services for new equipment or instruments and staff orientation.
