We are running an expedited interview process for FOUR newly-posted Marketing Intern opportunities, including a Brand Relations Intern, Trade Marketing Intern, Media Planning Intern and a Brand/Digital Marketing Intern. First round PHONE interviews will be held between May 15th-May 17th and final ONSITE interviews will be held between May 21st-May 23rd.
Mission:
An internship with the Media Planning team at LEGO Systems, Inc. affords students an opportunity to understand and practice first-hand the nuts and bolts of U.S. paid media planning and activation. You will gain foundational knowledge of how to balance audiences and product launches in comprehensive strategic media planning, execution, and measurement via traditional and digital paid media programs. You will gain detailed knowledge of processes designed to optimize media planning and creative asset development together with agency partners. You will also gain an understanding of the importance of OESP (owned, earned, shared, paid) media planning in the U.S. LEGO Systems is the North American division of the world's leading manufacturer of construction toys, known for high quality play materials designed to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow.
Throughout the summer, you will actively support and assist with a variety of programs, which may include:
* Analyze Media campaign performance, connecting front-end insights to back-end data
* Prepare after action reviews/reports to facilitate best practice sharing
* Media landscape and media consumption habits & trends research/reporting
* Explore new channels and platforms to reach core audiences
* Facilitate visibility across channels for all OESP digital campaign activity
Department Focus Area:Media Planning drives the U.S. paid media strategy, planning and activation plan as part of the U.S. Marketing department. Interns will attend meetings and have opportunities to interact with consumer marketing professionals, creative agencies and media agencies to understand how Media Planning supports consumer, shopper, and retail partner marketing plans.
Additionally, interns will gain an understanding and practice of general office practices and decorum, which may include:
* Conference calls
* Presentations
* Brainstorms
* Collaboration and teamwork
* Cross-functional planning and activation
* Budgeting
Minimum Requirements: Be actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a marketing, business or other related academic program
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Strong academic credentials
* Ability to prioritize tasks and focus on multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
* Demonstrated ability to excel in a collaborative environment
* 4-5 days per week (32.5-37.5 hours)
* Timeline: June 11, 2018 until you need to return to school or August 31, 2018
Experience:
* Related work experience (including internships) in marketing, media/marketing agency or media planning enviornment a plus.

Planning scope is 300 to 500 SKUs accounting for 5-15 billion DKK per annum revenue in the Americas. This individual is empowered to make decisions related to the demand plan development anchored in empirical data. The Americas Demand Planning Manager applies innovative tools to improve the accuracy of the demand plan and leverages the Sales and Operation Planning (S&OP) process to gather inputs for the demand plan and participates in executive meetings to communicate the final results. Support and grow the Regional Demand Planning team.•Design, build, integrate data from various resources and work as part of an analytics team to develop a long-term demand plan by theme by month for Americas region with high degree of accuracy by deploying predictive and statistical models. * Work with business units and departments to deliver data aggregations to executives, business analysts and other end users for more basic types of analysis to aid in ongoing operations. * Write complex queries that allow the demand plan to be easily accessible and analyzed. * Elevate the accuracy of the demand plan and the skill set of the organization by designing new tools, process and approaches. * Develop annual plans, then identify and communicate gaps to target for business teams to action. * Influence and drive collaboration across various departments (e.g. Americas marketing, Business Unit (BU) sales and Regional Finance) and address input gaps as identified by forecast error review. * Participate in S&OP meetings to proactively challenge forecast assumptions and articulate regionally created statistical inputs to the demand plan. * Ensure that the demand forecast is shared/received in the format, level of detail and timing required by all customers and supply chain partners, with documented assumptions. * Identify gaps to key performance metrics, determine methods and drive actions to address. Play your part in our global success.The Demand Planning department is comprised of specialists responsible for development of a statistically generated regional demand plan, analysis that support the demand planning, global S&OP process, the development of DP systems/tools/processes and management of the Operations Network. Responsibilities extend to the longer-term horizon with focus on regional and business unit alignment of planning direction plus process design and governance. This includes centralized project implementation support, resolving system issues, training and education of tools and processes and demand planning communication. The scope of business for the Americas forecast is roughly 14B DKK. What you'll need:•Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Mathematics & Statistics * Master's degree in same fields preferred * 5-7 years of forecasting, demand management and/or analytics * Background in Supply Chain Operations preferred. * 3+ years of hands-on experience with data engineering, stat modelling, analysis and simulation tools * Demonstrated experience using innovative tools to develop demand plans * Strong collaborative and communication skills, able to adapt style to fit audience and strong stakeholder management. * History of delivering strong results in current and previous roles. * Consistently demonstrates individual and team leadership behaviors. * Self-motivated and highly organized.
