About this position:

LMCU is looking for an experienced Media Planner & Buyer who will be responsible for leading LMCU's media planning and buying efforts to help support the credit union's various business units. Overall, this role involves researching, planning, negotiating, and recommending various media mix options, leading to the purchase and placement of media that will help deliver the LMCU brand message to our specific target audiences in an economical and effective manner. This role will be responsible for building strong relationships with various media representatives, keeping updated data from the various media (ex. media kits), analyzing a variety of options (based on CPM, AQH, delivery efficiency, reach, and frequency, etc.), preparing media plans, negotiating short- and long-term media contracts, tracking, trafficking the right commercials/ads and reporting on performance/results. This role will also work closely with the account/strategy team to help identify marketing goals for specific campaigns.

What you'll do:

  • Develop strong relationships with media representatives and gain a thorough understanding of their products (digital and traditional) to help in the evaluation of the most appropriate media options.

  • Maintain updated information on all print, broadcast (including OTT, radio/TV/cable), direct mail, outdoor, print, digital (including PPC), social media, email, and specialty advertising (ex. Pandora) sources.

  • Negotiate short- and long-term contracts for review and approval by marketing leadership. Reserve space/time and communicate schedules to LMCU marketing team with the sizes/specifications, dates, material due dates.

  • Prepare written media plans with goals and objectives and recommend media spend based on the goals and objectives of individual promotions as well as for key marketing campaigns with strong collaboration with the account/strategy team.

  • Deliver (traffic) the appropriate creative print and digital and broadcast TV commercials to the various media partners, documented with a trafficking form.

  • Help maintain a log and the proper naming (coding)of broadcast and digital assets to ensure the appropriate commercials/ads run.

  • Evaluate post-campaign results to gain a better idea of the level of success and making suggestions for improvements.

  • Assist to help understand the key segmented group of prospects to target and work with the marketing team and the individual business groups to help them achieve their growth goals.

  • Participate in brainstorming and idea sharing, insights and suggestions with the Marketing team to develop various marketing campaigns.

  • Maintain and track allocated budgets for various paid advertising campaigns and managing invoice accuracy. Review and first-level approval of all paid media invoices, using AP Concur system, to ensure accuracy and match-up with media budgets and contracts.

  • Produce reports that will help track the results of campaigns and working with our partner dashboards to track our digital results. In addition, review data and analytics of digital campaigns and direct mailings (routine) to determine effectiveness of media plans.

  • A minimum of three years to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.

  • Strong experience in digital advertising and experience with traditional media is required.

  • Google Ad certification

  • Knowledge in the areas of digital advertising (examples include but not limited to PPC, display, re-targeting, geo-fencing, and social media) will be required.

  • Familiarity with segmentation strategy is a plus.

  • Highly detailed oriented and organized.

  • Strong math and analytical skills.

  • Four-year degree in Business Administration/Marketing preferred.
