ROGERINC, CO an integrated technology and communications consultancy firm specializing in public affairs, public relations, marketing, branding, and crisis management, is looking for an energetic outreach analyst to join our assessment team with the U.S. Navy. This Washington, DC-based position will provide long-range strategic communication planning and assessment to our client.

Specific responsibilities will include:

The Media Monitoring Analyst will measure the impact of communication efforts and provide recommendations and insights on how to better reach key audiences and meet strategic goals by producing a variety of assessments as well as strategy and planning products.

  • Work closely with senior leaders to solve problems and create new opportunities in support of our client’s digital and social presence.
  • Provide daily analysis of coverage of agency topics in social/digital media to include updates, emerging topics, trends, highlights, and recommended engagement strategies based on findings.
  • Monitor, identify, and report on topics of relevance to the client on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
  • Provide assessment reports to client on relevant information environment.
  • Make content and engagement recommendations.
  • Participate in brainstorms and creative sessions.
  • Recommend topics for and develop monthly internal communications products, including but not limited to brief sheets, pamphlets and other documents aimed at educating personnel about social/ digital media, as needed.

Qualifications:  

  •  Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience in communication are required
  • Proficient in the use of all MS Office programs with advanced Excel experience
  • Demonstrated experience with communications research and assessments
  • Experience with media monitoring platforms (e.g. Sprinklr and Meltwater)
  • Knowledge of Python preferred
  • Ability to identify broad trends and specific findings, and leverage both on behalf of lessons learned to inform future communication efforts
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, including but not limited to: developing public affairs and/or communication plans based on research and analysis, identifying key audiences, designing and overseeing implementation of tactics, and producing briefings for leadership.
  • Ability to translate broad concepts and complex processes into strategic messaging and talking points; ability to build logical, defensible arguments supported by clearly articulated premises.
  • Very strong research, writing, and editing skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement strong methodological approaches to measure impact
  • Experience with defense and government entities is a plus
  • Active secret security clearance
