Key Qualifications

You have 3+ years experience
You have strong programming skills with modern scripting languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript)
You have experience with building automated testing / continuous integration systems
You are experienced writing scripts / tools to automate log processing, bug triaging
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly with a strong attention to detail
Familiarity with iOS, macOS, Unix / Linux platforms and development tools

Description

The Connected Media team is looking for an automation and triage engineer with strong technical and programming skills. You will be a collaborative professional with excellent communication skills who is comfortable in a dynamic environment. You will have a deep understanding of automated testing and continuous integration systems and processes as well as triaging and diagnostic skills. You will work with both software and quality engineers to support the development of and maintenance of tools and systems to improve overall productivity and quality across all of Apple's product lines.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

In this role, you will help us understand incoming bugs, decide actionable steps, assign to appropriate engineers, and write test code to broaden automated test coverage based on the triaged bugs. IMG's Core Audio team provides audio foundation for various high profile features like Siri, phone calls, Face Time, media capture, playback and API's for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is seeking an engineer who will work across the audio stack in collaboration with other engineers and QA to triage, debug, and address software failures. Key Qualifications * Experience developing software in C++, Objective C, and/or Swift. * Strong problem solving and debugging skills along with a diligent mindset. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Dedicated learning and a passion for learning new technologies * We are looking for experience with working with Audio APIs is desirable * We are looking for experience with working with low level system APIs is highly desirable * 3+ years of software development/testing experience Description This is a high visibility job that involves a deep understanding of what everyone on the team is working on. The successful candidate combines a love of iOS and Audio with a strong dedication to product quality and reliability. Description In this role, your goal is to quickly and effectively process incoming units that failed some software test where the failure is believed to be in hardware. Tests range from apps to synthetic or focused validation content including software meant to stress specific blocks or subsystems within the SoC. We work on a variety of failing content and you should have the ability to efficiently narrow down failures from system-level to subsystem- and block-level using a range of debug tools and techniques. You will use diagnostic software tools from content experts. You will enhance and maintain the debug/triage methodology and associated automation scripts. You will have opportunities to work with experts from many teams to understand SoC and system behavior: iOS kernel/driver, Silicon Validation IP test SW, Factory diagnostics, SoC architecture, SoC IP design and verification, FPGA Prototyping, Systems Integration, board designers, etc. Education & Experience BS/MS in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent is required.
