Media Director

As a Colle McVoy Media Director, you'll be leading holistic media strategy, planning, investment and measurement activities on a nationally recognized brand with opportunities for career growth. You'll put your breadth of full-funnel, brand and performance channel expertise, curiosity, and innovative thinking to use making first-of-their-kind media experiences for this major retail brand. In joining this award-winning media team you'll tap both sides of your data-driven and creative mind to make unique use of a wide range of channels, including an emphasis on digital media across CTV, OLV, paid social, paid search, out-of-home, affiliate marketing and everything in between. Your contagious passion for what you do will help lead the direction of our department and mentor our media team members.

Responsibilities

  • Craft full funnel media strategy and plans for a major national retail brand with potential to work across multiple clients and campaigns

  • Guide plan development, execution, reporting and stewardship, primarily on digital-centric media plans, partnering with the VP, Group Media Director

  • Be the client's point person and go-to media resource

  • Collaborate with both internal disciplines and external agency teams, representing an informed and thoughtful media point-of-view

  • Work closely with data science and brand strategy teams to develop measurement frameworks, effectiveness models and the creation of data-led audience profiles

  • Lead the development of client-ready presentations that effectively represent and sell in your team's great work

  • Facilitate media relationships to ensure the team is considering the latest and greatest thinking and opportunities

  • Work with the media and data science leadership team guiding process evolutions, training opportunities, and team member development

  • Train and mentor direct reports, acting as their advocate and helping drive their success

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent media industry experience

  • Minimum of eight years in agency-side media planning experience

  • Three or more years of management experience

  • Experience planning across all media vehicles, specifically digital and performance marketing channels

  • Proficient across all media planning core skills and tools: reach and frequency, competitive analysis, audience creation/analysis/segmentation, plan reporting and optimization

  • Familiar with Vivvix (Kantar), Pathmatics, MRI Simmons, Nielsen and/or equivalent research tools along with general adtech/martech platforms

  • Ability to independently write a media plan, create a client-ready presentation and effectively present the work to clients

  • Ability to travel as needed is required
