Job Description

What You'll Get to Do:

Under general supervision, coordinates and implements communications projects. Based out of our Baltimore office, the Media Coordinator is an important member of our team interacting with media, billing and production departments on a daily basis. The candidate will perform a variety of tasks to support the success of media and advertising campaigns.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in execution of advertising programs.

  • Responsible for tracking creative assets, making sure they reflect client standards and meet production deadlines.

  • Responsible for reconciliation of media invoices.

  • Gather data and statistics detailing performance tracking for developing reports.

  • Maintains relationships and favorable communication with vendors.

  • Address customer issues and make recommendations for solutions.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or comparable

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience

  • Experience using Microsoft Office

  • Effective time management and organizational skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Work experience in an environment requiring simultaneous management of multiple projects

  • Ability to adhere to assigned deadlines

  • Work well with a team, as well as individually

Job Description: Goucher College invites applications from scholars and media professionals who are looking for an opportunity to join the innovative and evolving study of Communication and Media Studies within the College's Center for Art and Media, as an Adjunct Lecturer teaching field video and/or studio television production in the Spring semester, 2019, beginning in late January. The professor/student relationship is at the heart of our mission, and we seek faculty who have a strong commitment to teaching students from diverse cultural backgrounds. The department has approximately 50 undergraduate majors and offers a curriculum that integrates critical media studies, film studies, journalism, new media, video and audio production, and photography. Requirements: The Center seeks a teacher with experience in teaching in higher education. An M.A., M.F.A., or Ph.D. in Film, Television, Digital Arts, or Communication is preferred. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach the essential skills in producing, directing, writing, shooting, and editing both non-fiction and feature-style video. Studio Television Production requires knowledge of as-if-live, multicamera production with switching. Field Video Production requires knowledge of single-camera formats and Adobe Pro Premiere as an editing platform. Candidates will be considered for an assignment in teaching one or both courses, and should indicate their target course(s) in their application. While not guaranteed, there is a possibility of continuation of the position past Spring 2019.
