Position Purpose:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Ability to work positively with students and staff
Computer application skills
Ability to work with audiovisual equipment and computers
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of libraries and school district procedures
Lifting up to 20 lbs.
Physical/Emotional Requirements: (The incumbent may be required to use the below requirements during any part of the working day.)
Speaking, hearing, manual dexterity (coordination of eye/hand for such activities as typing, calculating, work processing and the like), bending/stooping, sitting, walking, reaching/pushing/pulling, lifting 20 pounds, carrying, standing
Performance Responsibilities:
Works under limited supervision.
Performs clerical duties including filing and data entry using Microsoft Excel.
Uses the automated circulation system to circulate books and other media center materials.
Helps with re-shelving materials and helps supervise student proctors.
Assists students in using the library information systems.
Helps maintain, circulate and use audiovisual equipment and manages and coordinates library and computer lab reservations.
Terms of Employment:
10.5 month position/8 hour day; salary and work year to be determined by the Board of Education.
Evaluation:
Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the board policy on evaluation of Support Service Personnel
