Media Analyst -- PRIME Research

Job Description:

PRIME Research is looking for talented Media Analysts to research and code relevant media information in our proprietary system for clients in the financial, industrial, technology and automotive sectors. We offer flexible shifts in a challenging environment, as well as an opportunity to gain experience in communications research.

Applicants should be comfortable conducting keyword searches in online, print and broadcast media, and be able to quickly scan search results for relevant articles. Applicants should have strong organization and research skills, and be able to work under deadlines. Attention to detail and punctuality are essential to this position.

Main Responsibilities

  • Research and analyze relevant print, online, broadcast and social media coverage regarding our clients, as well as their competitors and industry.

  • Monitor corporate, product, industry and competitor trends in the media for companies within a designated sector.

Requirements:

  • Available 40 hours / week

  • Intermediate computer and Internet skills

Students can use the lab to study on their own and faculty members can reserve the lab for course visits. Each workstation includes a desktop computer optimized for language learning. Student lab assistants are hired every year to monitor the lab and provide assistance to visitors. The Kochoff Media Lab is open 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. from Monday to Thursday, and from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Lab assistants are expected to work anywhere from 2 to 15 hours. Lab assistants are responsible for opening and closing the lab, turning on the computers, making sure the printer, timecard system, and other equipment in the lab is functioning properly or contact support services when repairs are needed. Many lab assistants also tutor in Arabic, French, German or Spanish depending on their expertise during some of the work hours as lab assistants. Hours are set depending on students' class schedule. Starting salary is $9.25. Salary increases are awarded at the discretion of the supervisor. Required Qualifications* Requirements: Good communications skills and desire to help others.
