Has demonstrated an awareness and implementation of National Patient Safety Goals as applicable in their area of practice. Reports tests in a timely manner according to established policies and procedures; adheres to Critical value reporting formats and STAT time limitations as required demonstrating ability to prioritize Performs, Monitors and Maintains testing, quality control, equipment maintenance, remedial/corrective actions for the department on a daily, weekly, monthly, or as needed basis. Submits all appropriate documentation to the Lead Tech for initial review. Troubleshoots instrumentation, reagents, and patient specimens when issues and/or concerns occur. Immediately notifies the Lead Tech of any issues, concerns, and/or discrepancies to facilitate timely resolution. Performs all required/scheduled equipment preventative maintenance, calibration, per manufacturer s recommended schedule or upon direction from the Lead Tech, Medical or Administrative Directors. Responsible for notifying Lead Tech of inventory status of department to assist in assurance of adequate materials as to not delay patient care. Must be able to act as a resource and role model for, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, and Phlebotomists. Responsible for attending and participating in scheduled staff meetings as determined by the Administrative Laboratory Director. Assist in evaluation of new employees and other laboratory personnel rotating through the department. Confers with Lead Tech regarding competency and performance. Notifies Lead Tech immediately of any performance or competency issue or concern. Performs phlebotomy as appropriate and performs duties as required by the Administrative Director in the absence of the Lead Tech to provide staffing relief. Maintains open communication with the Administrative Laboratory Director regarding methodology, technology, current regulations and/or policies. Current Nevada Clinical Laboratory Technologist License. Current ASCP or equivalent Certification. Min. 2 years experience required.
Schedule Notes:We have a need for 6 Med Techs and 2 MLTs. These are escalated bill rates below. At these rates, we expect the candidates to be flexible on both availability and location around the greater Las Vegas area to float to different hospitals. Please contact us if you have any questions

Job Description: Responsible for providing clinical support to the inpatient nursing staff regarding discharge planning and process. Qualifications Job Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and completion of a specialty course and/or equivalent. Bachelors's Degree and Master's preferred. Experience: Two years acute care experience. Previous stroke/chest pain program experience preferred. License/Certification: Current RN license in the State of Nevada., Current BLS Certification, Current ACLS Certification. Candidates hired or transferred into specialty training course may have up to six (6) months to obtain required certifications with signed waiver. Other: Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
