  • Chemistry - who coordinates the technical component of the clinical laboratory, pathology laboratory, or blood bank.

Responsibilities: #Assign workload to staff as appropriate to provide quality patient care and notifies Supervisor or Manager of significant delays. #Review, respond, and document all quality control data. #Coordinate, perform, and document preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of all instruments. #Facilitate communication, team building and motivate employees to provide quality patient focused service and enhance productivity. #Consistently enforce policies and procedures. Ensure accurate dissemination of information. #Inform the Supervisor or Manager of all inventory and supply needs in a timely manner to ensure patient focused quality care. #In collaboration with the Supervisor or Manager, provide performance and competency feedback in a timely manner. #Assist in employing quality individuals. Coordinate and participate in training of new employees and MT/MLT students. #Maintain up-to-date procedure manuals to comply with all appropriate regulations. Evaluate new or modified procedures and techniques.
