Job Summary
The primary purpose of the Medication Technician position is to accurately and timely administer medications and treatments to the residents within the Towsley Village Memory Care unit. Additionally, you will provide support to residents including; hands-on assistance with daily care needs, grooming, hygiene, housekeeping, laundering, social interactions, promoting an emotionally health environment, and meals in accordance with each resident's service plan, and as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications
REQUIRED: Must have 6 months of experience in direct caregiver role and/or passing medications or equivalent education/background.
Experience of passing medications in an assisted living, skilled nursing, or long term care setting is preferred.
Completion of Medication Technician Certification preferred.
Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs. Anything heavier than 50 lbs. must require assistance or assistive equipment for task to be performed safely.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Must take and pass facility designated medication assistance training.
Must be courteous and professional in personal interactions with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agency representatives and public.
Must be willing to build rapport with all residents using patience, intentional and appropriate pacing, cueing and neutral positive regard.
