Med Surg Float Pool Nurse Residency Nights

Schedule: 36 hours Nights, Every other weekend

• RN's in the float pool have the opportunity to work in various med/surg units and the ED Observation Unit.

• 12 week initial rotation followed by 6 week assignments.

• Floating to different units exposes you to a wide range of patient care scenarios and medical conditions.

• Working in different units allows float pool RN's to collaborate with a variety of healthcare professionals.

• A variety of assignments can potentially reduce the risk of burnout associated with long-term assignments.

• BSN is required.

• Current licensure in Massachusetts as a registered nurse is required.

• ICU and Med/Surg experience required.

• BLS certification required.

• Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. standards.

• Must show evidence of the basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.

• Demonstrate observational skills and the ability to set priorities.

• Ability to function under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.

• Must demonstrate effective skills in applying hospital standards in area of service, team work, communication, respect for others, and time/priority management.
