We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized, compassionate individual to join our team as a Med Clinic Assistant. The ideal candidate must be friendly and warm and be able to work independently when needed with clients of all ages, races, genders, religions, and sexualities with wide-ranging mental health and substance use treatment needs. The Med Clinic Assistant will provide administrative support to the medication management and medication-assisted recovery program. This person will serve as the communication liaison for relevant patient information with agency outpatient providers.

The ideal candidate would:
Track and maintain the status of med clinic psychiatric charts to ensure all necessary documentation is current and meets agency and State of Maine regulations/requirements.
Schedule patient appointments for MAT and Psychiatric meds.
Compile pertinent information from the client's intake file for new clients visiting the med clinic for an initial evaluation with the prescriber.
Meet with clients via Telehealth and face-to-face to assist the Medication Management Provider.
Correspond with area pharmacies who are requesting prescriber authorization regarding client medications.
Assist with other requests from prescriber as needed and cross-train to perform other tasks when needed.
Be proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant software.
Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of empathy and understanding.
Have knowledge of behavioral health services and a commitment to promoting mental health and well-being.
Have analytical skills to interpret data and identify areas for improvement.
Have the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Be able to complete all other related tasks.

Hours:
This is a full time (40 hours/week) non-exempt position. Hours are 8:00am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Location:
This position will be based out of our main office located in Augusta, ME.
Pay rate:
Pay ranges from $17.00/hr. to $19.00/hr.
