This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work with manufacturing engineers as well as operations staff at two CCNA locations.
The internship projects/tasks will be critical to the support of the manufacturing and processing of screws and fasteners in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and work with manufacturing engineers as well as operations staff at two CCNA locations.
The internship projects/tasks will be critical to the support of the manufacturing and processing of screws and fasteners in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Core Responsibilities:
Support new product & process implementation
Support process improvement & troubleshooting
Support ITW Safety Program initiative
Perform CAD designs & design modifications
Expected Learnings:
Learn about the overall manufacturing processes & daily operation of a manufacturing facility
Learn about the process new product implementation & debugging
Learn about equipment work instruction research, writing, & training
Learn to collaborate with engineering, maintenance, operations, quality, & marketing departments

Job Requirements:
2D & 3D CAD skills preferred, good communication skills, inquisitive nature, and an interest in being hands on .
Mechanical Engineering coursework.
Junior or Senior preferred. Material Science & PLC Programming coursework is a plus.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Electronics Engineering Technician will support the Reliability Lab in the development and execution of reliability and development tests for all of Knowles products. This individual will work within a Quality team environment to achieve Knowles Quality goals. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Prior Reliability Lab experience is a big plus * Leadership skills * Electronic Equipment Expertise (Oscilloscope, DMM, Power Supply, Stress test equipment such as Thermal Chambers, tumble etc..) * Maintenance of and troubleshooting of Electronic Test Equipment * Assist the Reliability Engineer in the development of tests and test fixtures * Procurement of components, test equipment, and Lab supplies * Develop and write detailed step by step work Instructions for the Reliability Lab * Perform Gage studies * Ability to train other technicians * Mechanical Aptitude a Must * Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision * Ability to Multitask and excellent Organization Skills * Proficient in MS Office Suite 2010 or newer * Skilled in Windows 7 and XP OS * LabView experience is a plus. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum Associate degree in Engineering technology or similar * Minimum of 3 years of related experience * Ability to troubleshoot and analyze circuit diagrams * Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills * Focused attention to detail and timely follow up ability * Strong analytical and problem solving skills * Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team * Ability to work in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines * Past work experience in acoustics is preferred EEO-M/F/D/V Knowles Corporation Itasca IL
