Snap-on has an immediate opening with our Bahco saw blades product line. You will be providing hands-on technical expertise, training and support to end users. It is the best of all worlds; working with your hands and using your sales skill to achieve results. You will work with multiple Bandsaw Technical Sales Reps to showcase best practices and machine capabilities. Focusing on the performance of the band saw process you will engage with other Industrial account managers, distributor personnel and Rep Agency Sales teams to support increased sales and grow territory performance.

Responsibilities

Support the bandsaw sales process by identifying and optimizing customer's bandsaw equipment performance issues and performing hands on machine repairs and adjustments, including machine mechanicals, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Analyze customer requirements; establish benchmark vs. competition data. Document and communicate to customer performance of Snap-on branded Bahco blades; provide cost per cut analysis and /or benchmark results for end users .
Understands how bandsaw blade and equipment variables effect performance. Able to make adjustments and recommendations to achieved the desired customer outcome of either cost per cut, speed of cut or cut finish.
Create & deliver product training or sales presentations to both internal and external groups incorporating samples, catalogs and highlighting features/benefits of products and services. Support the sales closing process.
Perform 12 point inspections & testing for blade performance at customer locations using end user saw machines
Interact, train and coach end users on safe and proper use of products
Present training of products to sales team, analyze territory performance, submit expenses and general administrative duties

Qualifications

3-5 years' experience in the sawing industry including ability to identify and perform minor equipment repair and adjustments includes a working knowledge of machine hydraulics and pneumatics. Previous experience working as machine operator, a plus
Mechanically inclined with technical training in metals, metallurgy cutting tools and machining processes.
Understands the bandsaw sales cycle and is able to support the sales team in closing the sale. Experience working with distributors and/or agency reps, a plus.
Must be proficient in using the internet for research, able to work with spreadsheets and databases. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint software and other products is also required.
BA degree in Business or Marketing and /or equivalent work experience preferred. Associates degree in machining or other technical area, a plus
Position requires (50% to 75%) overnight travel.
Must have and maintain a valid drivers license
Must be able to communicate effectively to all levels of an organization, bilingual a plus
Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated and sales driven.

VIEW JOBS Core Function: This role will manage an assigned service zone and assist in other service zones when needed to ensure service calls are completed within the Service Level Agreement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment to this position. * Manage assigned service zone and assist in other service zones when needed to ensure service calls are completed within the Service Level Agreement. * If assigned a company vehicle it will be the technician's responsibility to maintain the vehicle in a high state of repair and cleanliness, making sure that all maintenance is up to date and completed. * In some instances, our Technicians are required to work out of their own personal vehicles. In this instance they are required to keep accurate records for mileage re-imbursement. The technician must also keep their vehicle properly maintained which includes cleanliness and regular maintenance intervals. These Technicians are also required to maintain a clean MVR as well as proof of proper insurance coverage. * Must maintain good troubleshooting skills and increase their break-fix knowledge to help the company maintain IT hardware/software support for our customers in a retail/office type environment. * Follow company guidelines and procedures for maintaining your assigned inventory. The inventory location could be Company Vehicle, Storage Unit or HUB location. This will include confirming all good in-bound parts for replenishment or service calls. Shipping out defective parts in a timely manner.
