If you are an experienced and skilled maintenance technician in an industrial environment, Insteel has an exciting opportunity for you at our Gallatin, TN facility.

A maintenance technician will install, maintain, and repair industrial machinery and equipment. We have a high commitment to safety and are looking to expand our maintenance department with others who feel strongly about achieving a ZERO HARM work environment.

The schedule for this role is:

• Thursday - Sunday (Weekends) Night Shift: 7:00PM - 7:00AM

• Occasional additional overtime as needed to meet business demands.

• Receive a $2.00/hour Shift Premium for working the weekend schedule.

To perform well in this role, you will need to:

• Always wear your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) like gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, safety glasses, & safety-toe shoes

• Be inquisitive, ask questions, be willing to learn new things

• Have good attendance

• Be willing to get your hands dirty

• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery and production equipment

• Assist team members with preventative maintenance of machines

• Repair hydraulic & pneumatic equipment

• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment

• Have basic math skills and the ability to measure lengths, diameters, weights, and counts

Qualifications to be considered for the role:

• High School diploma or equivalent - technical training is a plus.

• Must have 3 years of previous work experience in the capacity of an industrial maintenance technician

• Ability to complete forms and understand written instructions.

• Ability to perform basic math skills involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.

• Must display a stable previous employment history.

• A good pay, weekly, up to $35.00 per hour based on experience
