Supports the Aircraft Structural Mechanic for the installation of mechanical structural, and repair of mechanical and structural components for, systems on military, commercial aircraft, and other assets as may be applicable.
Fabricate and install mechanical structural components for, systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc.
Read, understand, and work from engineering drawings

High school diploma or graduate equivalency
Graduate of a technical school is desired
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mechanical design and sheet metal fabrication on systems as assigned
Trade school diploma or A&P license can be substituted for experience
Must be familiar with the use of hand tools, air tools, rivet tools, and sheet metal and some machine tools (such as shears, breaks, notchers, saws, milling machines, lathes etc.)
Must be familiar with measuring tools, test instruments, and painting equipment

May be required to operate power vehicles, machinery, hand tools, ground support equipment, fork lift, APU, etc. May be required to work in varying temperatures and weather.
