Mechanical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge aerospace technology and contribute to the development of advanced aerospace systems. The successful candidate will possess skills in aerospace, assembly, mechanical, and manufacturing. The role requires a meticulous technician who can interpret drawings/blueprints and ensure the highest quality of work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair aerospace systems and components following detailed instructions, blueprints, and guidelines.

• Perform mechanical assembly operations including bonding, staking, torqueing, and wire routing.

• Conduct inspections of assembly and installation operations to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments and devices.

• Document assembly and test procedures to ensure production activities are traceable and retrievable.

• Collaborate with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and improve assembly processes.

• Ensure compliance with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards in all activities.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.

• Participate in continuous improvement activities and lean manufacturing processes.

• Assist in training other technicians and provide guidance as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as an Assembly Technician or a similar role in the manufacturing industry.

• Demonstrated knowledge of aerospace systems and components.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is a plus.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
