Mechanical Systems Engineer

Piper Companies is looking for a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join a thriving government integrator. This is an onsite role, located in Indian Head, MD.

Essential Duties of the Mechanical Systems Engineer:

• System qualification test planning and coordination

• Briefings to safety and engineering oversight boards

• Providing written and oral program status reports

• Risk management

• Technology readiness assessments

• Milestone and Engineering review meeting coordination

Qualifications of the Mechanical Systems Engineer:

• Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related field

• 5+ years of experience with DoD weapons systems acquisition

• Knowledge of energetic system test and evaluation

• Understanding of explosive train technology and functionality

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is required

Compensation for the Mechanical Systems Engineer:

• Up to $160,000 (based on experience)
• Medical, Dental, 401k, PTO, paid holidays
