Description

Excel Engineering, Inc. is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated individual for a full-time Mechanical Project Engineer for our power utility client in Denver, CO. This engineering project lead will work at at client's Comanche power station in Pueblo, Co.

Responsibilities

• Many assigned capital emergent projects (10-20).

• Work with the plant to develop the scope of the project.

• Submit emergent project requests for approval and funding.

• Manage projects from cradle to grave. Everything from getting the contract scope of work in place to overseeing the work at the plant facility, getting all materials ordered, safety, quality, budgeting, and schedule.

• Work closely with the Reliability Engineering group there as well.

• Support will be there to support the technical aspects of the projects.

Requirements

• Onsite at the Comanche facility five days a week as they will be working very closely with the operations and maintenance groups there.

• Most of the work for this site and role will be performed by plant operations and maintenance personnel.

Desired Skills

• 5-7 years of mechanical technical experience.

• Will consider a new Bachelor of Engineering candidate out of college.

• Manufacturing or industrial experience.

• Project Management experience.

• Very proficient with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Outlook, and Teams.

• SAP for work order management/purchasing.

• ProjectWise for drawings.

• Documentum for historical drawings.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
