Mechanical Project Engineer

Gypsum Management & Supply, Inc. has a Mechanical Project Engineer opening in Suwanee, GA. Duties include: Managing new product and existing product design projects to meet design specifications and requirements. This includes design, product testing and verification. Maintaining engineering documents and systems using CAD and ERP software. Solving manufacturing and engineering problems, including creating assembly and test fixtures or redesigning parts products as required. Working with the Vendors on qualifying of parts, inspection and quality issues. Inspecting of incoming parts using Optical Comparator, Micrometers, Calipers and other typical measuring equipment. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; and 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer or in any occupation for which experience is gained. Special Requirements: 5 years of experience in Project Management generally consisting of new product design and improvement of existing products, parts and processes. 5 years of experience with part quality and basic inspection skills. 5 years of experience with SolidWorks CAD as well as MS Office.
