What’s a typical day as a Mechanical Production Associate? You’ll be: • Monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of supplies and equipment, promptly notifying the manager when replenishment is needed. • Performing installation of vehicle accessories and disassembling/reassembling vehicles as required. • Wiring vehicles according to specifications, including adjusting, repairing, and replacing wiring and relays in ignition, lighting, and safety control systems (preferred). • Conducting electronic troubleshooting and performing automotive maintenance tasks. • Documenting all service and installation actions in accordance with company standard operating procedures. • Reporting to the Production Supervisor. This job might be an outstanding fit if you: • Have background experience in vocational school, automotive, trade school, or auto dealer environments. • Are proficient in working with automotive electrical and mechanical systems. • Have a strong comfort level with a variety of power tools, including bandsaws, circular saws, jig saws, routers, soldering irons, micro torches, drills, screw guns, utility knives, and air saws. • Have the ability to accurately measure and use a tape measure. • Are familiar with reading blueprints (preferred). • Have the capability to work with chemicals safely. • Have body shop experience (preferred). • Have a passion for manual work and a proactive "can-do" attitude. • Have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. • Have a valid and active driver's license.
