Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design,sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a ProcessEngineer to join our HSIO Connector Engineering team. The position will belocated in Valley Green, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position manages all technical and process control aspects, develop plans,coordinates, tracks, qualifies and implements assembly processes from conceptualdesign into functional assemblies that meet Amphenol cost, delivery, andcapacity needs while meeting all customers' requirements. Develop automatedprocesses and monitor areas of continues improvement in quality, safety, cost,and efficiency including SMED, TPM (LEAN tools) and other tasks via a structureddevelopment process. Assist with costing, capital and capacity projections inpreparation of financial justifications for new products in development and forproduct changes or extensions. Complete process development deliverablesincluding PFMEA's, Process Qualification Plan, Control Plans, Workmanshipstandards and DOE's related to process development.

Development of tool and fixtures for cable assembly processes using 3D CAD(preferable Solidworks and/or Pro-Engineer)Define process equipment, fixtures and tools for new cable assemblyprocesses or process improvementsProvide product and investment cost assessments for new or modified productsfor the justification and acquisition of major tooling and equipment.Write and develop machine / tooling specifications for processes andequipment to be purchased from outside sources.Drive process risk reduction effort using design for manufacturability(DFM), list potential critical/risk product-process areas (FMEA) andverification testingDefine and drive process qualification (FAI, Cmk, Cpk) plansCoordinate with internal & external vendors the fabrication of prototypesamples, tooling and equipment to meet schedulesInvolved in the analysis of defined risk areas and experimentation, detaileddesign and analysis, DOE, basic technology research and development.Develop and document assembly processes, which include process sheets,operating procedures, spare parts lists, and preventative maintenance plan.Provide training, guidance and support to production and specializedpersonnel as necessaryParticipate in team meetings to inform progress on project and customerdriven deliverables (such as samples or qualification reports).Interface with vendor on new automated equipment development.Work closely with operations in defining operations plans capacity plan,time study, takt time, line balance, flow diagram, line lay-out, workinstructions, workmanship standards, control and inspection plans and othermanufacturing documentation.Work with manufacturing team to develop capacity and cost reduction plansfor high volume efficiency, product cost reductions and capacity planningSome travel both domestically and internationally may be required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferably; Electro-mechanical,Mechanical or Industrial Engineering with at least two years of currentexperience in a process engineering role.Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional journals, technicalprocedures or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public in each region ofthe world.Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability andstatistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry andtrigonometry.Should have knowledge and skills using:3D CAD Design software (preferably Solidworks and/or Pro-Engineer)Geometric Dimensioning & TolerancingInternet softwareProject Management software (Microsoft Project)Spreadsheet software (Microsoft Excel)Word Processing software (Microsoft Word)Presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint)Ability to perform engineering experiments, collect data and analyze rootcause/corrective action and tack time studiesExperience on Automation
