Mechanical Plumbing Designer (2-4 Years)

We're seeking an energetic and self-motivated Mechanical Plumbing Designer with two plus years of experience. The successful individual will have Revit and CAD experience in the design of plumbing systems for multi-family residential, commercial offices, healthcare, and educational facilities. In addition, the individual must be comfortable consulting to architectural practices and have a desire to work on a multi-discipline engineering team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION Work collaboratively with experienced engineers to perform design tasks. Experienced with the latest release of Revit, AutoCAD, BIM 360, and other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline. Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs, charts, overlays, and simple isometric drawings.

Able to design layouts, details, and overall system design for typical, discipline-specific systems with oversight and mentorship. Able to work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion. Growing knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.

Performs other duties as may be assigned. Expected Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Detail oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy. Able to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Minimum of 2 years of experience designing plumbing systems for residential or commercial buildings. B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field (preferred). Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent (preferred) Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical, energy, plumbing Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
