Essential Job Functions:
Ensures crews are on site, prepared and equipped to perform their assignments
Conducts regular inspection and maintenance of equipment and tools
Conducts and leads tool box and safety meetings
Ensures Pipefitters' work is accurate and in compliance with plans and specifications
Understands and ensures crew members follow and adhere to company, client and OSHA safety rules and regulations
Explains deficiencies and takes necessary corrective action
Provides welding pipe support
Prepares daily work permits, documenting and approving work performed, materials used, costs, etc.
Trains and mentors new crew members
Works with precise limits and ANSI and ASME standards of accuracy
Other Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, or Equivalent
Current and valid Driver's License
Five (5) years' experience as industrial Pipefitter in oilfield, preferred
Two (2) years' experience in supervisory or lead role
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Knowledge of geometry and physical metal properties
Knowledge of ANSI and ASME standards for Pipes and Fittings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read and understand drawings, isometrics, P&ID's, specifications, plans, and/or blueprints
Ability to take direction and adapt to changing priorities
Knowledge of industrial oilfield safe work procedures, processes and methods.
Education:
(1 year of directly related work experience may qualify to substitute 1 year of education to meet the education requirement)

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require use of ear plugs on occasion. Work condition is outside environment (job site/field site) that may have inclement weather conditions. The incumbent is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles and equipment.
The employee must be able to physically travel by air within, and out of, the State of Alaska.
