In this role, you have the opportunity to

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform material movement between stockrooms, outside suppliers, and shop floor

  • Monitor completeness of production kits

  • Prepare and maintain inventory records and files

  • Coordinate and perform daily cycle counts of stockroom

  • Coordinate kitting for external shipment and internal requisitions

  • Enter and maintain computer records of daily stockroom transactions

  • Unpack incoming items and check condition

  • Issue stock to kits and internal requisitions

  • Check goods received for damage and reject unsatisfactory items

  • Assemble mechanical components for WIP

  • Other duties as assigned

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • At least 2 years of college education.

  • Be an independent, self-motivated, fast learning worker.

  • Able to work in a team environment and create written communications.

The S3I Aviation Interoperability Laboratory (SAIL) team currently has a requirement to fill a permanent Mechanical Engineering position located in the S3I Complex on Redstone Arsenal. The team is currently supporting platform enhancements for the Army Air Traffic Control Project Office on their Mobile Tower System and their Tactical Airspace Integration System (TAIS). TAIS is a mobile communications and digitized battlefield automated system that can be deployed to support all levels of operation from the brigade through echelons above corps. Primarily operating in the command post computing environment, the TAIS is designed to meet both Airspace Command and Control and Air Traffic Service requirements. This position will require minimal travel. Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION/SKILLS: * Bachelor's Degree, or higher, in a related technical field. * A working knowledge of ASME Y14.1. * Proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM software * Familiarity with Military standards and test and evaluation methods. * Leadership experience * 5-10 yrs relevant experience. * Able to obtain a SECRET security clearance. DESIRED SKILLS: * Experience developing PDRs, CDRs, ECPs, EDFPs, and logistics products. * Experience with Army communications systems * An active security clearance is preferred.
