Responsible for the overall management of the mechanical engineering department, including both administrative and technical aspects. Serve on project teams as a lead engineer. Manage engineering and design teams, must possess strong leadership and communication skills.


  • On time design according to local norms / regulations and according to the contract specifications and budgetary limitations.

  • Resource planning and Management.

  • Reviews project Technical specifications and clarifies as needed all requirements with Sales, Project Manager and Estimating

  • Participate in Kick off meetings with Project, Sales and Estimating

  • Heads Design Review Meeting with Design Team and informs scope and schedule, assist with interpreting the project specification.

  • Recruit, select, orient, and train; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review employee performance. Enforce policies and procedures.

  • Contribute mechanical engineering information and recommendations; resolve problems; identify trends; determine administrative system improvements; implement process changes.

  • Design Change Management, manage and coordinates changes.

  • Support and Train new hires in mechanical design fundamentals, design standards, mechanical and structural calculations.

  • Supports other departments as needed such as Project Management, Offer Engineering, and Sales

  • Updates job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical, application or sales engineering in an industrial environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be a team player. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Attention to detail is a must. Well-developed PC skills and experience in mechanical drawings using CAD software is required. Must have good knowledge of mechanical engineering discipline.
