SAIC is looking for a Mechanical Engineer in Bedford, IN to support the U.S. Navy
JOB DESCRIPTION
This position assists in preparing all Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) in accordance with MIL-HDBK-61B and EIA-649 inducts the ECPs into the configuration management software for MCH PMO Change Control Board (CCB) review/approval, and provide all supplemental information requested to aid the MCH PMO in the review of ECP. This position will maintain an archive of historical data generated during the development, test, manufacture, and fielding of the systems supported by this SOW in CM PRO.
This position will provide technical assistance to assure continuity of the MCH baseline configuration in accordance with EIA-649. This position will maintain and support the configuration management of the Technical Data Packages (TDP) at the level required for a current baseline of the systems and support production initiatives in CM PRO. Following a PMO CM Working Group or Configuration Control Board, this position will update system TDPs to reflect changes in the ECPs and maintain configuration management of changes and versioning to support general maintenance, sustainment, and production in CM PRO. This position will develop Notice of Revisions (NORs) and provide all source data required to update the TDP for ECPs, approved through the CM PRO Change Control Board.
When directed, this position will maintain configuration management and control of all Modification Instructions (MIs), Technical Instructions (TIs), Supply Instructions (SI), and Logistics Instructions (LIs) in support of Program Manager Command and Control Systems (PM C2s) MCH products as a result of the MCH CM PRO Change Control Board process. This position will develop Notice of Revisions (NORs) and provide all source data required to update the TDP for ECPs, approved through the CM PRO Change Control Board.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field and at least 2 years of experience; OR Master's Degree in Engineering related field and 0 years of experience
Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance; Interim Secret needed to start
Must be a U.S. citizen
Understanding of the DOD/Marine Corps ECP process in accordance with PM C2S Configuration Management Plan and MILHDBK-61B
Understanding of how to create, name, and track configuration items, and aid in the establishment of a project-level process
Familiarity with CMMI V2.0 Configuration Management Best Practices
Ability to help create, format, and edit plans, processes, and procedures
Understanding of digital configuration management systems, specifically CM Pro
Sufficient skills to track configuration action items to completion, including phone and email communications and Requests for Information (RFIs)
