Presco Engineering New Haven , CT 06525

Posted 2 weeks ago

Do you want fast paced, exciting design work in a great engineering environment? Presco is building design teams for bio-medical electronics, robotic inspection systems, scientific instruments, drop-on-demand printers, power conversion, high power lasers, handheld spectrometers and a host of other electronic products.

Many prominent technology companies outsource their most difficult projects to us. Thats because these big firms are incredibly risk averse. Fearing failure, they wont try anything new or difficult, so they outsource the really fun jobs. Thats where Presco comes in. Weve been taking on these exciting projects for over 40 years. Unlike the big companies, Presco wont turn you into a drone living in a cubicle (or worse, an open plan office). We place our engineers into small multi-disciplinary teams and task them with real responsibilities and challenging problems to solve. If you are bright, highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills, we should talk.

  • Use SolidWorks to design mechanical systems comprising sheet metal, molded, machined, 3D printed, and cast parts

  • Evaluate mechanical, optomechanical and electromechanical systems by designing and conducting testing, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by developing testing methods
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components
  • Follow engineering standards and best practices to support project objectives
  • Implement assigned tasks on a timely basis in a fast-paced environment
  • Provide detailed engineering documentation
  • Good organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

We are seeking candidates with 5+ years experience who have completed a bachelors level degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.

Salaries are competitive and we offer a complete benefits package including company paid medical insurance and retirement.
