Provide quote support to the sales team for new opportunities
Gather and review design requirements as it pertains to the overall system
Apply basic engineering principles and analysis tools to conceptualize a system solution
Direct the work of drafting & design resources to document manufacturing and test instruction
Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to create a fully aligned system solution
Monitor and engage with system assembly and checkout operations
Serve a lead ME role for projects that can range up to multi-million dollars
Opportunities exist for travel for customer design review meetings or system installation and acceptance.
B.S. Mechanical Engineering
3.0 GPA or higher
Experience with SolidWorks or Pro E
Basic knowledge of machine design, vibration theory, structural mechanics, materials science, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
Knowledge in the application of Finite Element Analysis (FEA), vibration analysis and simulation tools, such as ANSYS, MATLAB and MathCAD desired.
Internship or extra curricular activities in solar cars/vehicles/bicycles/motor sports/concrete/material testing/mechanics
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
Ability to travel 10%
