Moffatt & Nichol is actively searching for a Mechanical engineer to join our Raleigh office. The Mechanical engineer will perform engineering duties in planning and design utilizing technical analysis.
Duties and responsibilities:
Conduct technical analysis - the candidate will be expected to complete fundamental mechanical engineering technical analysis tasks such as:
Hydraulic modelling and analysis of oil & gas transmission systems, as well as utility (water / sewer / stormwater) systems. Experience in industrial complex and / or marine terminals is a plus
Piping and pipelines stress analysis using Caesar
Develop design documents - the candidate will be expected to contribute to the development of design documents (plans and specifications), with an emphasis in utility service design, engineering / design for waterfront facilities such as marinas, container terminals, marine oil terminals, and pump stations (sewer and storm water).
Generate proposals and develop fee estimates for PS&E packages.
Conduct condition assessment inspections for oil & gas, and utility infrastructure

Minimum 5 15 years experience.
Professional Engineering License in mechanical engineering required
Background or experience in piping design, particularly 3D piping design using either Plant 3D or PDS
General understanding of process design, process flow diagram development, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) development
