The Mechanical Engineer role is for McDermott's CB&I Storage Solutions (CSS) business. The successful candidate will be part of CSS, the world's leading and most experienced builder and designer of industrial storage facilities.
Includes process design and analysis of an assigned scope of work in a CSS project including specific complex deliverables such as conceptual process design, process simulations, heat and material balances, P&ID and PFD development. Work includes, among other things, conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, layouts, design calculations and equipment and material specification.
Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers.
Maintains and promotes a focus on CSSs end product whether engineering, fabrication or construction.
Perform detailed technical calculations pertaining to equipment and mechanical computations and communicate with team members to resolve any questions or issues as needed.
Understands the basic concepts of equipment selection and application for CSS projects.
Complete project responsibilities for design, specification, review and development of mechanical equipment or systems.
Ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines. Ensures effective management of change.
Works with Sr. Engineers in maintaining responsibility for cost, schedule, and quantity and budget control.
Accredited engineering degree, preferably Mechanical, Chemical, or Process
Is familiar with process designs and unit operations.
Is current on new scientific engineering methods and possesses a broad technical knowledge of the process design engineering process.
Is capable of appropriate use of computer applications and other specialized engineering tools
Has 3 - 5 years of engineering experience
