Job Title:Mechanical Engineer (Manufacturing)Job Description:Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue that mission.The Role:Our facility in Burnet, TX is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with a strong mechanical/ industrial engineering background who thrives in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality and continuous improvement are paramount. In this exciting role, the Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing or modifying existing/new equipment to improve our existing refurbishment processes for high purity precursor delivery containers for advanced nodes in the semiconductor industry.
This position will work cross-functionally with a diverse engineering team, production team, EHS, vendors and contract manufacturers. The ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to manage/execute multiple projects within a fast-paced environment with focused on safety, quality, cost and reliability.What You'll Do:Conceptualize and design new equipment to assist and improve refurbishment of high purity specialty containers
Develop and execute the design of new equipment with a clear project plan, milestones and deliverables
Use a variety of inputs to develop a coherent specification document that clearly defines all aspects of the project
Manage capital projects to expand manufacturing capacity, improve safety, reliability or continuous improvements to existing processes
Collaborate with wide variety of functional groups such as Manufacturing Engineering, R&D, Production, Chemists, EHS, Facilities, Product Management and Project Leaders to accomplish business objectives
Use SolidWorks to design equipment/subcomponents and source/create fixtures to enable the assets to be used for a variety of form factors and process flows
Work with Engineers, Facilities and Operations to define preventative maintenance programs (critical spares, frequency, timing etc.) for new assets
Use current floor layouts and new asset specifications to work with stakeholders to optimize the asset within the context of the manufacturing cell area
Create required documentation for new and modified equipment and containers including drawings, bills of material, P&IDs and part numbers as needed
Have ability and willingness to take a "hands-on" approach to meeting project scope and timing including assisting project team members in completion of deliverables as needed
What We Seek:Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical/manufacturing/industrial engineering5 years of working experience in high volume manufacturing environment in engineering field
Experience working with Hazardous Materials is a plus
Experience in Project Management, Mechanical Design and DevelopmentKnowledge of Risk Analysis, FMEA, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Maintenance and ReliabilityExperience in technical drawing and use of CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD preferred) or modelling tools is a plus
Ability to provide guidance and support to teammates
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Positive mindset with creativity, good problem solving and analytical abilities
Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work
Demonstrated experience within a global, multicultural, multi-location organization serving the semiconductor industry
Understand Materials of Construction and how they interact in contact with corrosive chemicals
Evaluate robotics and automation designs to eliminate manual operations and improve ergonomics
