Job Description:

Machine Solutions, Inc. has invested in a million-dollar machine shop to produce the best parts for our custom machines. We are looking for expert engineers to design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical component, equipment, machinery and patented innovative technology with the best results at our Flagstaff Arizona location.

In addition to design and development, this position utilizes Solidworks and PDMWorks to create and store drawings electronically that can then be viewed, printed, or programmed directly into automated manufacturing systems.

This position may provide production supervision of parts and equipment, as well as testing to maintain quality. Communication, technical assistance and installation may be required as our machines are customized for each of our customer's needs.

In this role you will help with the designing of our equipment offerings such as: balloon catheter pleat and folding, drug coated stent crimping, heart valve crimping, catheter tipping, bonding, flaring, flanging, medical wire braiding and coiling, catheter lamination, marker band swaging, hole forming, biopharmaceutical sealing, sterile connecting and disconnecting along with many other applications.   • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; plus 2-5 years related work experience or training. Equivalent combination of education and experience is accepted.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific, technical and legal documents as well as respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced mechanical engineering math, modern algebra, and advanced statistical theory.

  • Ability to apply principles of logic and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems while dealing with a variety of abstract and concrete variables such as; nonverbal symbols (formulas, scientific equations, graphs) in different phases.

Physical Demands:

Minimal time will be spent, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling and crouching while some time will be spend reaching with hands and arms while talking and hearing. Most of the time will be spend sitting using hands to finger, handle or feel.

Lifting up-to 50lbs will be required at times.

The following vision requirements are needed:

  • Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
  • Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)

View computer monitor for extended periods of time. Utilize fine motor skills for precision human interface device (HID) inputs.

Work Environment:

Minimal time will be spent near fumes, airborne particles, toxic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, with risk of electrical shock.. Time will be spend working near moving mechanical parts where moderate noise can be expected.

Typical Duties (Illustrative Only) * Controls entry to and exit from the detention center in accordance with established procedures * Monitors that firearms and ammunition are secured in the gun locker * Performs visual security checks of inmate housing areas * Schedules inmate visitation * Sorts and delivers mail to the housing units, processes mail for proper addresses, contraband, money orders, etc. * Reviews booking forms, inmate records, and court documents for accuracy and completeness * Examines and interprets court orders and release documents to verify validity of each prisoner release * Conducts manual and automated criminal history checks * Enters property information, releases inmate property/monies as needed; * Communicates appropriate inmate information, jail policies and procedures to the public by phone or in person * Monitors inmate population, especially during officer-inmate contact situations * Enters inmate data into the Jail Management Information system * Receives funds, maintains accounts, and performs general clerical functions as needed * Monitors security cameras and audio equipment * Operates communications equipment, including two way radio Essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: sitting for computer entry, typing, answering telephones, etc; working with and around other staff, administration, inmates and citizens, etc; dealing with interruptions; repetitive motion (hand / wrist) for computer and phone work; vision acuity (near / far); hearing and speech for ordinary conversation; touch and finger dexterity for using radios, intercoms, telephones and computers. Environmental conditions include working inside, in warm area during spring and summer. Minimum Qualifications Must be a U.S. citizen or resident alien.
