Job Summary

Primary responsibilities include design and development of beam delivery products used in laser systems. This is a fast paced, hands-on role designing compact precision components and systems for use with high performance fiber laser systems.

Job Function

• Design and development of mechanical, opto-mechanical and electro-mechanical components for laser beam delivery laser systems

• Design engagement from concept through production release

• Create tests and tooling for design verification/validation

• Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs

• Support Sales and Production with sustaining engineering activities

• Minimum BSME required

• 5+ years experience in the field or related field (opto-mech devices and systems, laser processing heads, laser scanning systems, fiber components, photonics components and devices, precision mechanical)

• SolidWorks design experience

• Experience designing opto-mechanical systems and components a plus

• Proficient design and development organizational skills

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.15 are required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee. License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit person from Country Group B.
