Summer Internship Program is designed Provide the following to students: 1) experience in a working environment; 2) meaningful work assignments; 3) introduction to Black & Veatch corporate culture; 4) chance to network with experienced executives and leadership. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, and design specifications and contract drawings.

Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs. Prepare basic calculations. Assist in basic equipment selection.

Coordinate with other disciplines. Schedule project deliverables. Collect, organize, and evaluate data.

Analyze systems utilizing computer modeling. Organize and file project materials and references. Individual contributor with no subordinates.

Minimum Qualifications No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Mechanical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to work on a variety of water treatment, wastewater treatment, and conveyance projects. This position will primarily support senior level engineers and project managers to conduct evaluations, designs, and construction management services at water and wastewater facilities. Each day, you will be an important team member as you participate in the design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients. Responsibilities of the Water Engineer: * Assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects, including task management * Guiding, developing, and leading the planning and delivery of conveyance related projects and programs * Effectively communicating with clients to develop collaborative solutions * Discuss project results and recommendations with clients to facilitate informed decision-making * Writing, reviewing, and providing clear, concise input to investigation, regulatory, or solutions reports * Managing deliverables to scope, schedule, and budget * Working with multi-disciplinary teams including Jacobs' Solutions & Technology organization #BIA * Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other related engineering discipline * 5-10 years' conveyance or water treatment experience required * Professional Engineer License (PE) Preferred * Previous consulting experience with a consulting firm serving municipal clients in Missouri or Kansas preferred * Proficiency with Microsoft tools, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Access Jacobs Engineering Kansas City MO
