DCS Corp is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support DCS Army Ground Vehicle Division programs under the Tank and Automotive Research and Development Center (TARDEC).

Essential Job Functions:

Create CAD models and drawings of electronic enclosures for military vehicles. Coordinate manufacturing and fabrication of electronic enclosures with the machine shop and assembly.

Provide BOM, schedules and quotation information for product development team.

Analyze hardware configuration and processing solutions.

Test hardware conformance to specifications and MIL Standards.

Generate 2D/3D layouts of mechanical designs.

Support metal fabrication using standard techniques and translation to CNC machines.

RequirementsDue to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years of experience or Masters in Mechanical Engineering and 1 year of experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Experience with Military Ground Vehicle Systems mechanical design and integration.

Comfortable working in a fast paced inter-disciplinary environment and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Solid modeling design experience utilizing Creo and Solidworks 3D design package suite including Windchill PLM.

Strong Mechanical Engineering analytical skills including FEA Analysis, Thermal & Shock,Vibration and Structural Analysis.

Self motivated with ability to work in a team environment with a high level of attention to detail.

VIEW JOBS 12/8/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-08T00:00 The Successful candidate will work closely with engineers, manufacturing and technical management and will be responsible for providing the integration, design and technical solutions for Navy flight test experiment products, including payload structures, thermal products and integration of mechanical, electrical and RF components. The candidate will be responsible for engineering documentation, drawing/CAD maintenance and verification, assembly and test support, manufacturing and test anomaly/discrepancy resolution support, and support of cross-discipline product development. Specific tasks and responsibilities shall include the following: * Independently develops and provides mechanical design solutions, of varying complexity, using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products. * Independently reviews requirements, from various sources (instrumentation, dynamics, stress, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.), to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products. * Supports collaboration with program leadership, analysts, subject matter experts, peers, configuration management, and manufacturing, to ensure program requirements and schedules are met. * Contributes to the completion of Program milestones by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs. * Supports Production meetings and manufacturing & test anomaly/discrepancy resolution.
