The purpose of this position is to provide Global Innovative Mechanical Engineering Services and to seek bringing forth and establish the cause of Zion.
The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering design and operation analysis/consultation, creating innovative simplified and sustainable solutions, estimating project costs, troubleshooting systems as well as collaborating with and training internal teams, consultants, contractors, etc.
This position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to achieve our engineering goals and assist with the management of programs and guidelines.
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in the mechanical engineering disciplines or 10 years of commercial mechanical/HVAC field experience with 5 years of mechanical and plumbing system design
Experience: Minimum of 5 years post education experience practicing mechanical system engineering or pre/post education experience practicing commercial mechanical field experience
Skill Level: Must be able to perform innovative and forward thinking global engineering, design projects of medium complexity, project cost estimates, meet aggressive schedules and budgets, troubleshoot, track performance, interpret project contracts and consult accordingly, establish vendor relationships, communicate effectively with leaders, managers, clients and consultants using tools such as: Heat Loading Modeling, Microsoft Office, Revit/CAD systems, Bluebeam, Document transfer and management systems, Online conferencing and Cloud based storage servers

Assists in providing engineering design and construction support for worldwide projects using local to country engineering
Research and understand international mechanical and plumbing practices, codes, and products
Develops building load heatmaps
Detailed reviews concerning construction drawings, shop drawings, specifications etc.
Provide mechanical and plumbing cost estimates showing labor and material breakdowns
Assists in the development, design, and updating of engineering design criteria, guidelines, features, systems, and details based on industry best practice for facilities worldwide
Assists in identifying, core/guideline training, peer reviewing, and monitoring compliance of outside consultants in the engineering design and construction of facilities worldwide
Assists in building mechanical, plumbing and building management system designs including system selection and building energy study analysis
Assists in troubleshooting mechanical systems and providing recommendations for repair for existing facilities worldwide
Assists in programming and making recommendations for building and mechanical management system controls and sequence of operations
Review contractor provided mechanical and plumbing costs associated with projects
Analyze and report building management system operations and corrections
Assists in energy conservation initiatives and coordination with international requirements with local consulting experts and identify potential rebates
Conducts meeting presentations clarifying mechanical opportunities
Engineer new mechanical initiatives that will reduce costs and complexities
Establish working relationships with mechanical suppliers and manufacturer representatives
Understand legal contract documents and provide support to managers accordingly
Perform and review mechanical system calculations for heating and cooling loads, equipment capacity, duct and pipe sizing methods, etc.
Analyze and report on building management system analytics
Engineer energy conservation options
Global Travel
Site observations and reporting
Review mechanical and plumbing systems in accordance with project required codes and verify consultants are implementing best practices
Review mechanical and plumbing coordination with other disciplines
Leads committees and initiatives when asked
Assures continuous expertise in engineering codes, standards, and practices by attending seminars, reading current technical literature, and subscribing to and studying trade journals, newsletters and UMC/IMC and IPC code update classes, ect.
