Preferred skill sets:

  • Switchgear/Switchboard experience required.

  • Experience with ANSI Switchgear Designs

  • Experience designing bus, bracing, and sheet metal.

  • Medium Voltage Experience Desired (5kv thru 38kv)

  • Use of CAD and 3D Modeling software

  • Creating Designs, Fabrication, and Assembly drawings

  • Bills of Material generation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products or equivalent.

  • Collaborating and coordinating in a team environment across various internal departments, customers, and other organizations involved in projects.

We need team oriented professionals who will be real with themselves as well as their team and in all matters, have the work ethic to put in a little extra when needed, and the attention to detail to maintain a high quality output of deliverables.

Additionally, performs scope of work and budget estimates for proposals. May mentor and provide direction to less-senior level Engineering Department members.</p><p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p><ul> <li>Uses independent judgment to formulate and develop advanced mechanical engineering concepts for a given project or program function.</li> <li>Performs work involving the application of complex or novel aspects of mechanical and plumbing engineering for the assigned functional area such as HVAC systems, plumbing design, and kitchen exhaust systems.</li> <li>Conceptualizes the initial mechanical and plumbing design approach for major phases of large facility-type projects or has overall responsibility for the mechanical engineering work on a project of defined scope.</li> <li>Plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates mechanical engineering work.</li> <li>Oversees the design and ongoing progress of a project, including project coordination with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies.</li> <li>Resolves a variety of complex problems; e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.</li> <li>Reviews plans and prepares or reviews technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.</li> <li>Participates in the coordination of BIM/VDC.</li> <li>Coordinates technical and administrative activities for a project with other disciplines and departments within Galloway.</li> <li>Takes an active role in new business development; markets Galloway’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients.</li> </ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p>EDUCATION</p><p>Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering. Professional Registration preferred.</p>EXPERIENCE<p>Minimum of 3 plus years of experience in Mechanical Engineering.
