LSINC is seeking Mechanical Engineer Co-op Students and Interns to assist with the design, development, fabrication, installation and repair of engineering projects. Students will have hands on exposure to product design, fabrication and prototyping techniques. Students will be expected to work 30-40 hours per week.
Supports engineers with the development of new products and in providing engineering support to products in production.
Assists with creating and revising engineering drawings and supporting prototype building
The Co-op Program will provide students with:
An understanding of how the mechanical engineering process works from concept to prototype
Firsthand experience working directly with the tools and technology necessary for a successful Mechanical Engineering career.
Candidate must have an overall minimum GPA of 3.0 and must be in good standing with his or her University
Candidate must be a junior, senior, or graduate student majoring in Mechanical Engineering
Rudimentary understanding of machine and hand tools is helpful
Experience with and knowledge of 3-D cad modeling using Solid Works or Solid Edge is helpful
