RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team member of the Packaged Chiller/Splits Development organization

  • Thermodynamic-based modeling and optimization of chiller system design

  • Develop chiller system architecture that meets or exceeds the product development requirements

  • Confirm product design performance, capability, and reliability in the engineering product test laboratories

  • Collaborate with both internal and external compression development teams to seamlessly integrate compressor designs into chiller system designs

  • Work cross-functionally with operations and service teams to effectively launch designs to production as well as provide aftermarket solutions to increase overall revenue

  • Collaborate with the product marketing teams locally to develop product requirements and ensure that the product meets their needs when launched

  • Execute tests for systems, sub-systems, and components. Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives.

  • Follow all appropriate design, safety, and qualification standards in development programs.

  • Work toward commonality and optimization of products & components to reduce design errors and escapes.

  • Test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess operating condition effects.

  • Produce parts, specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, systems, or work orders/purchase requests

  • Bachelors in Manufacturing Engineering or similar field (Masters preferred)

  • 2 years relevant experience

To learn more, visit www.sealedair.com.</p><p>Position Summary</p><p>The GE Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and startup of process equipment in any of the global SEE manufacturing plants. Making modifications, retrofits, and performing development work on the equipment is also in scope. Individuals in this role must also exhibit the ability to &quot;see the big picture&quot; and offer innovative ideas and creative solutions. This role is for intern hires with no professional experience.
