Our Los Angeles Office is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our multi-disciplinary design team. We work on a wide range of projects including data centers, hospitals, theaters, laboratories, and commercial buildings.
Roles and responsibilities will include:
Participating in mechanical design for projects such as Hospitals, Data Centers, Laboratories, Academic, Arts &Cultural, Airports, and Commercial
Developing mechanical engineering designs from concept through construction administration
Thermal load modeling for projects utilizing three-dimensional BIM tools.
Coordinating with multiple disciplines and working in conjunction with project managers
Writing reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
Presenting technical material in traditional and innovative ways for review by technical and non-technical audiences
Understanding trends and standard methodologies in the industry
Participating in local Professional Associations
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
4 or more years of experience designing building HVAC systems, including airside and hydronic system components
Experience with 3D BIM software such as Revit MEP
Experience with load analysis software for calculations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels
