Position: Mechanical Engineer

Our products help to enable theelectronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMsglobally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design,sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking aMechanical Engineer to join our High Speed Cable Engineering team. The positionwill be located in Nashua, NH.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a Mechanical Engineer on the HSIO Cable Products team you will supportProduct Design, providing Mechanical Engineering support to the design,development, and selection of basic hardware components utilizing fundamentalmechanical engineering principles, theories, and techniques. Assigned duties mayinclude:

Design specific elements of High-Speed IO Interconnect and Cable devices orcomponents to meet specified design requirementsReceive direction from senior engineering staffProvide direction to drafting group to assist in the creation of productsPrepare document reports, generate, and review the technical content ofdrawings, engineering specifications, reports, and other documentationassociated with mechanical designSupport Continuous ImprovementLead sustainment efforts on assigned product linesLead customization efforts on assigned product lines when requiredProvide Mechanical Engineering support to products in productionManage material issues, perform root cause assessments of discovered issuesPerform analysis as required to verify validity of proposed solutionsConduct failure analysis of product returned from field and qualificationfailures

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)0- 3 years of electromechanical product design/support experienceStrong Mechanical AptitudeGrasp of basic electrical theoryAbility to support design and development of hardware to ensure requirementscomplianceAbility to read mechanical drawings and perform tolerance assessmentsExperience with ASME Y-14.5 is a plusAbility to perform basic mechanical analysis to ensure good designProficiency with Solidworks 2018 or higher CAD 3D modelingBasic understanding Windchill PLM for CAD data managementAbility to conduct experimentation and basic testingFamiliarity with basic measurement tools and multimetersFamiliarity with structural FEA is a plusGood communication skills and organizational skills
