Mechanical Engineer

Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Dam Neck Annex, Virginia Beach, VA. Are you imaginative and resourceful, using your 3D modeling skills in Autodesk Inventor / SolidWorks to simulate new designs. Are you someone who values both self-reliance and collaboration within a team? Your hands-on experience in U.S. Naval ships and mechanical design makes you stand out in this role.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities Includes:

• Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.

• Design products or systems in support of facilities' infrastructure, research, or maintenance requirements.

• Coordinate, troubleshoot, and approve installation activities as inspection services to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related scientific field and at least 3 years of full-time professional experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.

• Working knowledge of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) for design data processing and for turning the design into a product.

• Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
