Mechanical Engineer

Description:

This person will be ramped up to speed gradually to become the eyes and ears on the floor. Engineer will be designing 3D models for a new division of the company. This person will be the captain of the team so need to be able to talk to others, translate, and convey to team with what they're seeing. The automation engineer will take the mechanical devices and try to make them work by how the Mechanical Engineer specifies they should function by creating user interface.

• 60% process/ 20% design/ 20% hands on

• Take products from concept to production with a practical understanding of manufacturing and solid engineering fundamentals.

• Provide innovative solutions to product design and development, and DFM.

• Creation and review of bills of materials, manuals and fabrication drawings.

• Complete and review mechanical design and engineering calculations

• Machine design materials selection, stress analysis, and structural optimization..

Skills:

autodesk inventor, metal fabrication

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

This engineer will be apart of a brand new team In Midland but will need to be ok with anywhere from 2 weeks- 1 month of training in North Carolina to start.

Preferred:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering 3-5+ years

• Proven manufacturing background ( Don't mind getting hands dirty)

• Experience in design for assembly and design for manufacturability.

• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

• Experience with metal fabrication and assembly processes.

• Ability to successfully manage both up and down within the organization.

• Experience with industrial refrigeration.
