Description:
This person will be working within Three I's utility team specifically supporting CenterPoint with a number of projects but most notably gas conversion work happening at 2 of their plants, AB Brown and FB Culley.
Responsibilities:
This individual must be able to work with their lead engineer to create, develop, and prepare mechanical designs related to compressed.
Will design and layout mechanical facility systems
Will draw P&ID diagrams related to compressed air systems, underground utilities, etc
Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and practices
Will go on-site and perform field documentation of existing conditions
Will work on multiple projects and tasks while maintaining efficiency and high quality of work
Must be able to work well in a team environment including multi-discipline groups
Takes pride in work and takes initiative to expand knowledge base

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must-Haves:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related (Associate's or Bachelor's)
Ability to use the latest version of AutoCAD 2D to prepare detailed designs/drawings with plans, details, and specifications as designated by the engineering team
2+ years of mechanical design experience (preferably within industrial facilities)
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with both internal/external project stakeholders
Proficient with Microsoft Suite of software
